We offer a wide range of baccalaureate and associate degree programs in the traditional arts and sciences, as well as certificate programs and pre-professional studies. Select hybrid programs that combine online and in-person courses are also available.
D&E also offers you the flexibility to map your own academic path. We can work with you to customize a curriculum tailored to your needs and interests. Our Interdisciplinary Studies program offers the option to work with faculty to design and administer an individualized interdisciplinary major or minor. Ask our Office of Admissions whether the Interdisciplinary Studies Program is right for you.
The Senator Honors Community enriches the Davis & Elkins experience for academically accomplished, intellectually curious students through exclusive interdisciplinary courses, experiential learning opportunities and advanced faculty-mentored research. With an emphasis on vocation and meaning, the program helps students explore their purpose, clarify their academic and career goals, and discover their place at D&E and beyond. Depending on your field, this might look like a senior thesis, studio exhibition, internship, research project, or a formal presentation鈥攂ut the goal is the same: to show you鈥檝e mastered your major. Each spring, we hold Senior Capstone Presentations, which is an official no-class day so the whole campus can join.

At D&E, we make it a priority to provide support to help all students succeed.
The Naylor Learning Center assists students with learning disabilities through the Supported Learning Program. The program also assists incoming freshmen with the transition to college.
Through the college鈥檚 Writing Center, help is available from trained student tutors under the guidance of a faculty director from the D&E English Department. Assistance with all kinds of writing 鈥� from essays to lab reports, business theses, r茅sum茅s, research projects, and more 鈥� is available either in person or online.
The Naylor Learning Center provides accommodations for students with disabilities, even if they are not enrolled in the Supported Learning Program. If you have a disability that is documented through psycho-educational/doctor evaluation, and you request accommodations, the 91快播 will abide by ADA standards; however, the services provided by the Supported Learning Program are more comprehensive.
