A basic premise of the college’s admission policies is that all applicants will be reviewed individually to determine if they are capable of successfully meeting their responsibilities as a Davis & Elkins student and benefiting from the personalized educational experience the college provides.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling admission basis. As applications become complete, students are notified of the admission decision as soon as it is made. Although there are no specific deadlines for applications (apart from international students), students are encouraged to apply as early as possible to ensure maximum financial aid consideration and more options for course selection.

Davis & Elkins 91¿ì²¥ welcomes applications from qualified international students. D&E offers a limited number of scholarships and grants to international students. All international applicants, especially those who would like maximum consideration for financial assistance, should consider submitting the results of the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT I). All international students whose native language is not English are required to submit TOEFL results in addition to all other admission requirements.

Can first-year students have cars on campus?
Yes, first-year students are permitted to have cars on campus but must park in a designated location. A parking pass fee will apply.
Can I have a pet on campus?
No, pets are not permitted on campus. Per ADA guidelines, emotional support animals are allowed. For details and how to apply, contact Student Life at 304-637-1211.
Are there laundry facilities in the residence halls?
Yes, there are washers and dryers in each residence hall. There is no charge for washer and dryer use. Laundry is included in tuition.
How do I get a roommate?
Complete the Housing form received through your D&E email from eRezLife. Housing assignments begin at the end of the current academic year. If you don’t have a roommate at the time you complete the form, your roommate will be chosen based on your form answers. Housing is personally assigned by Student Life staff. To change your roommate later, contact Student Life at 304-637-1211.
Is a meal plan required if I live on campus?
Yes, students must have a meal plan if living on campus.
What if I want a single room?
Single rooms are limited and offered upon availability. Contact Student Life at 304-637-1211. The cost of a single room is dependent on the residential building in which the student resides.
When should I claim credit for my AP exams?
