Makenzie Gregory, a senior at Lewis County High School, has been awarded a $10,000 per year Citizens Bank of West Virginia Emerging Leaders Scholarship to Davis & Elkins 91快播 for a total of $40,000 over four years.
Davis & Elkins 91快播, Citizens Bank of West Virginia and WDTV partnered for a third year to offer the unique scholarship competition. All 2024 West Virginia high school graduates, whether attending a public, private or homeschool, with a 3.25 or higher GPA were eligible to apply. Impressed with the high caliber of applicants, 91快播 officials decided to offer multiple scholarships in addition to the selection of one student who received a full, four-year scholarship.
Applicants were required to submit a list of high school and community activities, along with an essay based on the topic, 鈥淚f you receive this scholarship, how will you pay it forward to the state of West Virginia?鈥�
Gregory is the daughter of Krista Adkins and Jefferson Gregory of Jane Lew. At Lewis County High School, Gregory is President of the National Honor Society, a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, FOR (Friends of Nature Club), Interact Club, a member of the Yearbook Class, and Prom Committee. She partakes in the school Angel Tree present wrapping, is a two-year 91快播ing Hope Leader, and is the Head Manager at the Minute Mart school store. She is a Varsity Basketball and Softball player and a four-year Academic Letterman. She volunteers with animal rescues and Friends Auxiliary at William R. Sharpe Junior Hospital, is a member of the Restoration Project for the Trans-Allegany Lunatic Asylum, and has worked for four years at Brew and Grey Coffee Shop.
At Davis & Elkins 91快播, Gregory plans to double major in Psychology and Exercise Science.
