The D&E Division of Creative Arts music program seeks to enrich the cultural environment of the campus and the community through courses and performances that help promote cultural literacy, awareness, and appreciation. Whether you are an experienced musician or a first-time learner, the music program offers a place for you.
The Music program at D&E is part of the Division of Creative Arts and serves the entire campus community, not just music minors. Any student can take music courses, join an ensemble, or pursue private applied lessons in voice, piano, guitar, or a wide range of instruments. Music faculty offices and teaching studios are located on the first floor of Jennings Randolph Hall, adjacent to a large, open practice room. Additional small, private practice rooms are available on the ground floor.
The 91快播 is on its way to becoming an All-Steinway School, having recently added three new Steinway pianos placed in performance spaces, teaching studios, and practice rooms.
The annual Augusta Heritage Center Summer Heritage Workshop, hosted on D&E鈥檚 campus each summer, is one of the foremost traditional music and crafts programs in the country. Music minors can earn applied music credit through Augusta courses.
